Mike Nash is a performer and songwriter born and raised in Nashville, TN. Unlike most musicians who moved to Nashville to find their way, Mike chose a different path-moving from Nashville to find his professional music beginnings in Cocoa Beach, FL in the early 2000’s. A proven songwriter, solo entertainer and front man for nationally touring Southern Drawl Band, Mike has been professionally touring throughout the world for almost two decades. Mike has shared the big stage with world famous artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimmy Buffett, Charlie Daniels, Eddie Money, David Allen Coe among others. His unique brand of “rockin country with a twist of lime and splash of saltwater distilled in the backwoods of Tennessee” keeps audiences coming back time after time for his lighthearted, fun inducing performances. Helping his fans “forget about life for a while” and enjoy his tales from the tropics with an umbrella drink or two. ACCOLADES:
Mike and Southern Drawl Band’s first album, “Against the Grain”, won Album of the Year and spawned a #1 Song of the Year (Another Day In Paradise) in 2012 in the Trop Rock charts. Mike Nash and Southern Drawl Band were voted Entertainer of the Year 2013 and Band of the Year 2014, 2015 and 2016 by the fans of Beachfront Radio.com and Trop Rock Music Association Awards.
As a solo artist, Mike was most recently awarded the 2021 and 2022 Male Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year for 2021, and Album of the Year 2022 by the Trop Rock Music Association along with multiple nominations including Entertainer of the Year. Radio Trop Rock awarded Mike the song of the year in 2021 for “Sticky Pete’s”-being the most requested song on the station. In 2012 Mike and his band's version of the song Rockytop was commissioned by the University of Tennessee for use on the Jumbo-Tron in the 2012 football season for audiences numbering over 100k. The song also moved on to beat out artists such as Brad Paisley and Jason Aldean to claim a #50 spot on the country radio and a brief #1 on iTunes Country download chart that same year. Subsequently, Mike’s version of the song was aired on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in commemoration of Peyton Manning’s 2014 record breaking night. Mike has performed with such artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimmy Buffett, Charlie Daniels Band, Aaron Tippin, Eddie Money, Neil McCoy, Marshall Tucker, Pure Prairie League, Blackberry Smoke, Brantley Gilbert, Eli Young Band and David Allen Coe.
